FIELD SERVICE + TRAINING

At Varec, service does not stop with installation.

We have a dedicated team of field service engineers averaging 25 years or more experience, meaning they are well-versed with industry standards and concepts, such as API 653 and 579. We only use Varec parts and have an A-rating with ISNetworld, Avetta, PEC and NCMS contractor qualification administrators.

With our maintenance and service programs, a certified field service engineer will visit your site to conduct all service and/or provide training to staff. Our goal is to ensure that Varec float and tape gauges at your facility maintain their peak performance year after year.

For the Preventative Maintenance service work we perform, we guarantee:

  • Three year warranty on the service work performed
  • Two year warranty on parts
  • Overall gauge accuracy (Combined “repeatability with” accuracy)
  • Only genuine Varec spare parts will be used
  • No required minimum number of tanks
  • Documented service records (per tank) of all work performed

NOTE:
Program only includes the gaugehead components. It does not include conduit piping, tape, motor, guidewires, transmitter, accessories or fittings.

For information on the service and maintenance available for advanced gauges or other devices, please contact us. Options vary based on the device.

Maintenance Training

With our maintenance training program, we empower facility employees by providing them with the tools to be able to execute the correct assembly and maintenance techniques for Varec tank gauges and gaugeboards. We provide training for all product categories.

Our engineers will train operators how to:

  • Align all parts to prevent tape breakage
  • Eliminate gauge hang-ups
  • Identify which parts should be lubricated and which lubricant to use to keep the gauge running smoothly
  • Identify and correct bad applications to improve the performance
  • Repair the gauge in half the time with better results
  • Maintain the gauge and know which spare parts are needed to prevent problems occurring
  • Follow procedures for overhauling mechanical gauges during an API 653 tank inspection
  • Optimize the installation, configuration and maintenance of the Varec tank gauge transmitter
