With market leading hardware and software, our products enable reliable and efficient management of bulk liquids. We also offer specialized inventory management solutions for use in harsh, remote or expeditionary environments.
Due to the wide range of products stored, from unprocessed crude to refined white products, a single technology is not suitable for every application. We help our customers understand the implications of each technology in order to determine the best solution to meet their operational needs.
CUSTOMERS
Tank Gauging Technologies
Two types of measurement methods are used for tank gauging: volume or mass based. In a volume based system, level is measured. In a mass based system, the measurement of the hydrostatic pressure of the liquid column is used. The users choice should, therefore, be based on how product inventory is calculated and accounted via volume or weight.

Tank Gauging Basics
Tank gauging is the generic name given to the measurement of liquids (product) in bulk storage tanks with the aim of quantifying how much product is in the tank, “gauging the contents of a tank”. Today, the oil & gas industry uses the static measurement of the tank contents to account for product stored and product moved into and out of the tank.
